Nicknames in the industry are inevitable. One will be graced upon you sooner or later. In my case, it was soon; like first-interview-at-the-agency-I-would-end-up-starting-my-career-at soon. Turns out, the email that announced my arrival for the interview had introduced me as Mardeline. Go ahead and read that again. That’s right, a stray R had made its way into my name. So, when my future boss and team came in for the interview and addressed the bizarre spelling of my name I decided to roll with it.

‘That’s right! Mardelines the name, but they call me Marty.’

Short, sweet, easy to pronounce and easy to remember. So here I am, introducing myself to you as Marty.
